Thank you for your understanding our limited capacity as we navigate our soon to be new structure!
Fearless R2W is a grassroots volunteer child welfare education and advocacy initiative that has been active since 2015. It began with 2 people sitting alone at an event called “Super Granny” to the grassroots organization we are today. Our team is made up of families with lived experience in child welfare, former youth in care and community members willing to be helpers to achieve our goals.
Our values, which we share on the home page of our website and read out loud at our weekly meetings, guide our work and ensure that caring for and protecting children always remains front and centre. Our work adheres to local, national and international child protection protocols. Every volunteer advocate participates in Fearless R2W Advocacy Training, has a clear child abuse registry, provides us a copy of their criminal record check and consents to a vulnerable sector check. Our emphasis on lived experience means that we match people appropriately to their tasks, and only those with their completed checks are put in positions with families and kids.
The coronavirus has amplified the many challenges that families involved with child and family services face. We are grateful to our many local, provincial and national partners for helping us navigate service delivery in these unprecedented times.
We welcome any feedback on how we can better serve our families.

We read our values together before every meeting to bring us back to why we are here and how we want to show up as a community. They are something we can hold each other accountable to and help keep us focused on our goal to keep families together.
We are a circle of support and value one another as one family
We take care of our own (heart, mind, body, soul)
We agree to disagree with kindness
We believe laughter is medicine
We believe it is all of our responsibility to take care of all of the children all of the time
We encourage each person to find and share their gifts with us
We welcome different approaches, opinions and styles
We will not gossip or undermine one another but speak well of each other and communicate any concerns directly to the people involved
We will look out for one another
